There is pseudo hope in the form of interactive interfaces (as opposed to the last 60yrs of one way TV & print) but this disregards tactile feedback and it's importance in our experience. And with the level of OCD in this country for risk elimination and public liability, more and more experiences at festivals, events even play grounds, are this kind of "safe" pseudo interaction. Of course we want the best, safest world for our kids but to quote Marlin from the movie Nemo- "I promised I'd never let anything happen to him" (referring to Nemo) to which Dory responds- “that's a weird thing to promise because then nothing could ever happen.” We've been led to a point of paranoia where faux experience is chosen over genuine experiences with managed risks.
